Ochagavía

Ochagavía marks the dawn of Chilean wine history. Founded in 1851 by Silvestre Ochagavía, it was the first winery in the country to introduce French grape varieties, thereby igniting an oenological revolution that transformed national winemaking. Trained in France, Don Silvestre returned to Chile with the ambition of replicating a model of perfection. A visionary, scholar, and perfectionist, he laid the foundations of modern viticulture. His legacy endures today as a symbol of heritage, tradition, and authenticity. Considered the father of Chilean viticulture, his spirit lives on in every wine from the estate: timeless classics with distinct identity, true to their origin, and built to endure. Since 1982, Ochagavía has been part of Carolina Wine Brands, steadfastly advancing an oenological vision faithful to its essence.
